I'm Deepa Thomas, an Assistant professor at the University of Texas at Austin. I work in the field of relativistic heavy-ion collisions, exploring the behavior of matter under extreme conditions, just momemts after the Bing Bang.
My research is primarily based at the ALICE experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, where we study the quark-gluon plasma.
I am also a member of the ePIC collaboration at the upcoming Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) at Brookhaven National Lab, where we'll delve deeper into the structure of matter.Â
